Everything is gone! My old laptop’s
hard drive is corrupted, that’s what I am talking about. Most of the documents have
copies in the cloud, but I just realized all the photos of my travel to the USA
and Japan have not been backed up. Luckily all the Australian photos are saved
in the cloud.
The Japan travel photos
especially in Kanazawa are precious. I went there when I was just rising from a
major setback in life. It was autumn, and all the beautiful leaves somehow signify
my turbulent emotions. The USA trip happened when I was really conflicted with
my life choices at the time. It was not a pleasure-purpose trip, but I’m glad I
went. Otherwise, I don’t think I will ever go to USA.
Just like our immortal lives, nothing
lasts. I guess it’s about time I really rack my memories and write everything
while Allah still gives me the ability to remember. As you get older, you know
how fragile this life could be.
